The Boys | Scarsdale Family Photographer

One of my favorite things about my sessions is that I never really know what I’m going to walk out with.  I mean yes, there will be family photos, and a few of the kids smushed together smiling at the camera and such, but a good number of the photos that I end up with are not anything I could have ever expected or hoped for.  Every home is different, every family has different interests, and honestly, little boys come up with things that I never could have planned.  This Scarsdale family, who I’ve been photographing since big bro was a baby, never disappoint.

You can see their last session HERE and click back to the others if you like!

Extra Cuddles | Bronxville Family Photography

When baby wakes up on the morning of her session feeling under the weather, it’s hard to not be disappointed.  The situation is not without its silver linings, though.  First, when the only thing on anyone’s agenda for the morning is to spend time together as a family and to help to make baby happy, that’s not the worst thing for baby.  And second, everyone knows that babies who aren’t feeling well give the best cuddles.  As you’ll see, we got lots of baby smiles and sweet cuddles on the morning of this session.  And of course, she was back to her healthy jolly self in no time.  A little side note:  you already know that I love seeing people’s storybook albums and wall art from past sessions adorning a home when I visit. Also awesome is when big sis knows exactly how to open the family’s custom mobile app and watch a past slideshow on the iPad.  Just sayin’ 🙂

Rainy Day | Westchester Photographer

I’ve been this family’s Westchester Photographer for a loooooong time.  So, when we looked at the forecast for their session last fall and it called for torrential rain, I knew mom would be game for something fun and different.

Boots, umbrellas and jumping in puddles?  Why not?  Sounds fun!

(We also rescheduled for a sunnier morning later in the week, as you’ll see if you continue to scroll.  I wasn’t willing to miss capturing this amazing family doing their thing indoors, so I guess you could call this a session and a half.  There’s no such thing as ‘too many pictures’ in my book, and Mom was definitely on board!)

You can see their session from last year HERE.  As always, looking forward to the next chapter.
